Both Gordon and Lois became aware of the benefits of massage, reflexology, and trigger point therapy at the ages of 8 and 10 respectively.  Gordon worked on people out of his home for about twenty years.  Lois became interested in massage and reflexology through an aunt.

Each had their own career, Gordon in construction and Lois in secretarial, but both maintained a unique interest in reflexology and trigger point therapy.  Gradually, they incorporated other techniques and modalities.

They met and graduated from the Iowa School of Natural Therapeutics and Clinic in 1993.  The 1000-hour program included clinical experience, the study of anatomy, physiology, and foot reflexology.  Gordon and Lois became licensed massage therapists in the summer of 1993.

Gordon also has an EMT-B certification and has served on the ambulance crew of his hometown in Coon Rapids, Iowa.
